The Okuma Deadeye Custom Series rods are one of three new models of walleye-specific rods to hit the market this year. The Deadeye Custom Series rods are all custom technique-specific walleye jigging rods designed for the tournament walleye angler.
The Deadeye Custom Series rods were designed with the latest technology and insight from leading walleye tournament anglers from around the Midwest. The backbone of the Deadeye Custom family is the SCT technology improving strength and durability. SCT is a dual helix wrap featuring over 6000 strands of carbon thread wrapped around the 30/40 ton graphite blank.
The component system of the Deadeye Custom series starts with Sea Guide XO-316 stainless steel angled guide frames to reduce line twists as well as a specialized stainless steel guide tip to prevent inserts from popping out. The rods feature a custom EVA and Cork split grip configuration for balance and weight reduction for all-day jigging. They also have an ALPS RPD reel seat with an aluminum thread nut to keep your spinning reels secure.
